Most commonly talk about rolex are their model reference numbers, production date numbers, caliber movement numbers.

We talk about matching model with matching caliber, bracelet, etc.....
Understand numbers marked gave info of their prod date whether parts are matching.


What other number that mark on rolexes are equally important?

yes, all these info are input from the rolex factory and are accessible by all service centers throughout the world
i am not sure if any rolex service center will change an entire case or entire movement (although they do change parts without serial number eg crystal, crown, bracelet, dial, hands)
chances are they dont change the case and movement
hence if any of these 2 numbers do not match, there is a chance the previous owner(s) changed either the movement, or the case

In the scenario you mentioned.. It can happened.
But how do we know?
Those numbers are really less talk about whether is it important to match all assembly.
Does it really bother you or as long as it is original rolex parts..?

Haa.. True.. 20mins or so for $107 really can't check all parts..

Now is there anyone come across a watch that does not have a matching caliber. Not so much of new watches buy old vintage..
Example like: a rolex 6611 fixed with 1135 or 1165 instead of a 1055?
