  • ExpII but swapped to White Dial, OK?

One of the dealers that I've found is offering me a ExpII originally black dial (tritium version), but is willing to replace with an original white dial (newer luminova version).
My question is, will this lower the value of the watch, and most importantly, is it still authentic?
Dealer says I can bring to RSC to verify after the replacement or money back.

    Advice?

I m not sure if RSC will replace with the superluminova dial....but from what I know usually they will change back to Tritium because your watch comes with a tritium and they will put back a tritium..

Nah it won't lower the value of the watch because it's not a rare vintage or anything...

If you buy from RSC...of course it's still original...

hmm, then wouldnt that be a non standard procedure?
and it's a U series, not sure if that production period already had superluminova white dials...

Err...I am trying to say that it's not likely that they will change to the new dials.

But anything dial changed at RSC is still considered original... As long as they allow means no prob.

        Hope I didnt confuse you

yea understood, the thing is that it's not changed by them. it's by dealer who does servicing. anyway, i found a few good selection pieces at Koh / AK watches...the pricing quite competitive. probably will get it from there!

i realise some fonts are really different from other batches, and seems like i prefer the older series fonts. wider and more edgy...

My advise is, don't do anything that would cause the watch's origins to be questioned. It's like putting a L dial on a U series Daytona or a fat lady, just don't work manz, at least not for me.

                Agreed with OK and Orion...

Just keep it as it is

I believe all dial changed by RSC will be superluminova dial. Even my 6694 dial change from t>25 to superluminova.

since tritium has radioactive properties if i recall correctly.

correct, and probably no longer in production. so they'll only have to use the new with superluminova dials to replace it.

                    one other clarification:
Koh watches/ AK, told me they can inter swap bezel / bracelets (as long as they match fit), to whichever that has better condition. My thinking is that they are all originals, and although from different production periods, as long as they fit on each other, it's fine. agree?

yes, but you wouldnt want a tritium dial on a Z series watch would you? and vice versa. My opinion is to leave it as is. Enjoy the beauty without it being altered.

                              Tritium dials Tritium hands

I know this is a bit off topic. If you have a tritium dial, and send the watch to RSC for servicing, and they suggest that you change the hands. Do they give your tritium hands or new non-tritium hands?
