I assume that when bro tequilarose mentioned country code 655, he probably seen this on the current type of Rolex warranty card. This is because the older Rolex warranty certificate will have the AD's stamp and you will know which country the watch was first sold in. Both the country and AD stamp needs to match up.

I think it is also easier to fake the warranty card compared to the older certificate type because the warranty certificate needs to be made out of a particular grade of paper. It also contains more "colours" which requires specific ink types to be used in printing the certificate which can help you differentiate from the fake. Lastly, the country codes and serial numbers are "embossed" on the certificate by means of "holes" which make up the codes.

I find that more sophiscation is used in making the certificate compared to the card, not to mention more information can be also found in the certificate.

      Just my two cents worth.

i recently come across a warranty card with the client code indicated as 430 however, the retailer indicated on the flip side of the card shows a Malaysia retailer with a KL address. is this normal/ acceptable?
