would appreciate it if can provide more information about this change of ownership process. does it mean RSC will issue you a new warranty card?

RSC records the name of the person who brings in the watch and takes it that the person who brings in the watch is the owner. is this what you/your friend is referring to as 'change of ownership?'

if this is the case, there is 'no fee' involved. the fee can be termed as servicing cost/authentication cost/etc.

I don think they will change ownership. That is y those who buy first hand are paying much more. That includes the ownership as well. To me 1st hand or 2nd hand a Rolex is a rolex. We wear the watch. Not the warranty card right?

I only recall my friend telling me that they register the watch to his name when he send for checking. He never buy less than 3 years pre-owned rolex so warranty is long over.

no such thing (unless it's a very recent introduction). AFAIK rolex does not permanently retain ownership information. they WILL register an ID for the watch on a local DB when documentation is needed, but that is also not permanent info.
