what sets apart M series from its previous series

this question has been asked many times. so i decided to post a sticky thread

M series has the 'rolex chapter ring' aka the words rolex engraved on the inner case circumference, ie the area between the dial and sapphire crystal. the rolex serial number is engraved @ the 6o'clock position

the last batch of Z series has the rolex chapter ring. however, the earlier batches do not have.

this is why M series is preferred. new design, anti-counterfeit measures.

As of now, neither the later Z series nor the early M series SD are incorporated with the engraved rehaut. Also to note, the SD does not come with the tool kit from the late Z series onwards.

No, I am not an AD. My post was based on some info I picked up in other forums. U may wanna look up at the Rolex forum inTimezone, think there had been some discussion on the engraved rehaut. The general consensus from the some of the owners of the later Z series & early M series SD owners is that there aren't engraved rehaut on them. Or there are already there on some of the SD in the 2 series that I stated but have not reached the ADs & so some came to this assumption. When exactly will we see the M series SD sporting the engraved rehaut is not known but most expect that it should happen on the M series.

Perhaps I should have made myself more specific in indicating that it may only have apply to some of the earlier M series SD and not gave the impression that it applies to all M series SD. It was juz my personal opinion and I should had rightly stated so. Sorry if it was misleading.
