  • Polishing can reinstate dent?

Hi all gurus,i am checking on my colleague's behalf on whether a polishing can reinstate a tiny little dent on the bezel(correct me if i got the part description is wrong).

He accidently knocked his watch on his car door edge and i helped him use my magnifiying glass to help him look on the damage caused. Its a very mirco tiny chip off dent on between his blue submarina ring on the bottlecap like area(Hope gurus here can understand which part i am refering to)and he is like half sianz and heartpain hence i would like to help him to check with fellow oldbirds here if a polishing can reinstate the tiny dent?

Hope to get some advice here on his behalf,

    Cheers!

bezel insert refers to the part with markers. bezel refers to the entire thing in what you describe as bottle cap. if the small dent as describe is on the saw tooth edge then abit tough

Hi bro, thanks for the first to render help.Noted on the part description.I have checked his watch this morning and the tiny dent is just between the bezel insert and the saw edge, there is a thin lining seperating the bezel insert and saw edge, that is where it is,

Can a soft polishing grind smooth this dent?

        Thank you!

honestly it is very hard to visualize from the description. ideally it is to take a picture to see the actual.

alternatively, you may proceed to shops in lucky plaza, golden landmark, RSC to let them access the watch and give you a more accurate answer.

But your opinion oozes arrogant leh, "Tell him to stop being so lame."

Maybe its his first rolex after saving up after years , and this is the first time his watch got nicks.

Who knows ppl maybe losing sleep over it? Generally most of us here have to go through being servant of watches before becoming the master . Not all can afford it with ease and brush off damage like its nothing, be it big or small.

but you are right, diff folks diff strokes, opinions varies but its best with some sensitivity cos you never know what the other party go through to get this grail.
