vintage for more "character", modern if you insist on new. as im not superstitious, new or old doesnt bother me. but if you go down vintage path, servicing/parts may become problematic.
both are beautiful watches, just depends on what you want more i guess.

can explain a little more why neither? because they are neither here nor there model?
even though 14060 and 5513 both are different. why not 14060?
The dome glass vs sapphire makes all the difference. Plus once you are bitten by the vintage bug, Matt dials are all that you will ever want.
14060 is not vintage. The simplicity of the dial is best accentuated by the warm of vintage tritium and dome acrylic. Go get a 5513. Else you will soon be selling the 14060 for a 5513. Unless you want a modern 14060m, then you are fine cos no half foot into vintage.
1) visit AD and enjoy the watches on display
2) pass your salary to the finance minister @ home
3) dont carry cc.
4) bring 100 out daily.
5) lastly, if all else fails. be a hermit and live in the mountain

Hmmm... desperate disease needs desperate remedy.
For me, only (5) works because:
1) Sure end up buying something, maybe just an OEM PAM strap etc, etc
2) I donch have FM at home
3) This one maybe, but I'm too paranoid not to have backup $$
4) Refer to (3) LOLOL...
Thanx for the advice and hope you land your 14060(M?) soon
There is already a bar or a timeline set....by the purist collectors.
Acrylic Plexi + Matte Dial = Vintage
Sapphire + Gloss/WG surround = Non Vintage
The 14060/14060M will never have the same status as the 5513, due to the sheer volume produced over the years.
But it is definately a buyers market right now....
Cheers!
Agree. In triton's scenario in 10 years time, 5513 will still be vintage over 14060. 20 years later also.
So while prices are subdued, might as well go 5513....provided you are going vintage that is.
