How about this...show us a pic of your friend's watch...probably that helps. 1 thing to help you alittle...if you see centre polished links...it means it's the 18238 or later(but i doubt it will be later) model...or look out for the green sticker in that case.

No green sticker + no centre polished links it may mean it's a 1803 or earlier. If that's the case....at that price..not worth

reasonable....pawn shop takes in this watch at $10K-$12K. Preowned dealers sell it at $16-$20K depending on condition.
