  • Why do steinhart watches look so much like rolexes but are so very much cheaper?????

    Hi All,

    Please explain if possible.

Why do steinhart watches look so very much like some rolex models.

Further they seem to cost more than 10 times CHEAPER?

i.e. STEINHART "OCEAN 1 GREEN" looks very very much like the 16610lv.

    Anybody can explain?

    Tks

Erhm, same as why chicken rice costs 2-3 bucks outside vs 20+ at one particular hotel?

Or why replicates cost so little but the original costs that much?

    Or or

Pam homages can look almost like pams but cost a fraction?

    Or or

Cat40 vs cat150 when they provide similar services and final 'destination'?

Keke. Different quality mah. Of cos, i m not trying to justify the quality is worth that much more la. But def btw those 2 brands, the quality is vastly different. This coming fr an owner and follower of both brands of watches.

Anyway, u alrdy say looks like. So can just say cos unlike rolex, steinhart is a follower and not a leader in terms of designs. Jus how guy are mere followers while others are Leaders that people wish to learn from . Theres a price to b at the front

A very strange question you have asked.

Steinhart is just one of the many brands who produce and sell "homage" watches. They don't only copy the design of Rolex but also some other brands. Quality wise many of their models have a ETA movement and are reliable enough, but most watch enthusiasts and brand concious chaps would go for the real things.

          Guys,

Please do not take offence with my straight shooter query.

Some may say my question is strange....

But I ask because I really am curious about the whys and the hows regarding Steinhart's watches looking so similar to the Rolexes.

I am aware of "mirror-like" replicas but only recently was introduced to Steinhart's watches.

          Thanks for the input tho'.

Bro, I don't think anyone took any offence with your query. And why should we?

I said your question was strange because that was how I felt. Why else does a brand wants to copy the design of other brands? If my reply was/is blunt, please pardon me. Members who join the discussions here often enough know my style
