  • Does RSC require watch owner to provide receipt to provide warranty service?

I noticed that many sellers do not provide receipt for the watches being sold.
Just curious if anyone can advise if RSC requires watch owner to provide receipt to provide warranty service?

original receipt or invoice usually contains personal information such as address which may be viewed as private by sellers. as such, sellers exercise own discretion whether to provide original receipt or not.

in order to get warranty service from RSC. a warranty paper/card will suffice unless RSC doubts the date on the warranty card/paper and hence wants a original receipt to prove its purchase date.

warranty only covers manufacturing defect. however, it is very rare for a rolex mechanism to fail during the warranty period.

I do not think so. Why? What if the watch is a gift from someone?

i think if you brought an alpha-numeric rolex watch to RSC now for warranty work, they will probably not ask for anything - it's (at the moment) definitely within the 2 year guarantee period.

but as time goes by, i think the warranty card might become less useful as the RSC database goes live all around the world.
