Hi guys, been wondering (sorry, me newbie..). If i buy a watch with a serial number, say starts with Y222222. I know the watch is from 2002/2003 but how will i know the bracelet is the exact same one that came with the watch? ie that the bracelet is also from year 2002/2003. Since the bracelet can be changed, it is possible for a year 2002 watch to sport a 1995 bracelet. Is there a seial number on the bracelet? How can i ascertain same? Would appreciate your input!!

Not really possible because to be able to tell. You the nearest you can go is to find out the estimate age only. But of course the range is really big. Like for example the changes in the bracelet. Somewhere in the 2001-2003 time they changed the Jubilee bracelet to the hidden clasp 1. So you can tell the bracelet ard that time.
It's not possible to tell the exact date I feel. But only an estimate. Dun think too much about this small little details. More importantly is that it's fitted with the correct bracelet of the era, other than that u cannot do anything.
Sometimes forgotten, but always contactable. Darkangel (2007-2014)

I posted this on the 'production dates by serial numbers' sticky....
It allegedly tells u the production month and year of the clasp.... I dunno whether one can change the bracelet without changing the clasp or not but it seems pretty accurate when i checked it against mine (well, at least the year matches)
Hope this helps.
