Gold plating fell off !!Help!

Hi all

My father-in-law has this rolex -16233 for >10 years



Recently, the gold plating on the SEL dropped off??!



Aside from RSC, does anyone know if this part is easily replaceable? and where to go for replacement?

Rolex service centre can replace it, about $75.

Err...16233 isn't SEL...

But I guess u mean the endlinks...so yeah RSC would be a better place to get it

Most 2nd hand shop can do it. I have replace mine in Bencoolen.

This is someting new.. i didn't know this piece is actually "glued" on to the SEL

So for the TT oyster bracklet is it also the same too ?

Hi bro, your father-in-law have just drop off a piece of solid 18K gold, it's not gold plated. The gold is actually glued on the SS, the replacement will not cost a bomb in RSC.

it can....they'll glue it back...it happened to my previous DJ as well..i managed to find the missing part so they didn't charge me anything. But if yors is missing, then they'll charge you some $$..not sure how much though.

just to add on, the other parts which are glued together are the cyclops & sapphire crystal.

My wife brought the watch to RSC today.

Suprisingly, RSC fixed it in 45mins WITHOUT ANY CHARGE on the part/labour

And ......wait for it......

NO "service/overhaul" speech as well

BTW, RSC claims that it is not "glued" but "soldered".
