Does tritium lumo fade?

Hello And Good Day.
I have a question . I have a 1993 steel/gold submariner . Bought it brand new and has been service 3 time in rolex center last time was 8 yrs ago.Last year I notice my lumo are not luminous at all. Any one out there share the same experiences? anyone know why?
