        Issit an automatic watch bro?

For your info, production rolex shouldn't have clear back to allow you to see the movement... From my knowledge, the only two vintage rolex models that have clear back are manual winding ones...

Also the dial and fonts looks fake to me...

Any other bro can give some inputs??

Where you got the watch bro?? Hopefully not at a high price...

Hi! I am an absolute greenhorn when it comes to Rolex. I chanced upon this forum when I was conducting my research on Rolex. My dad managed to convince me to purchase a Rolex instead of diamond ring. I need valuable advise/opinions from all you seniors! A local pawnshop website posted a 69173with diamonds bezel, comes with box but without a cert, going for 3.7K. It is stated as 98% mint condition with pinholes. Is it even worth it? My budget is somewhere between SGD3.5K-3.7K. What other models should I be looking at? Also, any advise on what I should be looking at / wary of when buying pre-owned? Is it advisable to purchase one that does not come with a box/cert? Thanks!

sometimes you have to be careful when they say how many percent mint, especially with older models. this is because exterior maybe what is stated, but below the case back, it is not. if a watch has not been serviced for a long time and the rubber seal is damaged, it may lead to rust forming. also if a watch has not been serviced for a long while, the oil may be dry hence it may damaged the movement.

True...trust the seller..that's the rule of thumb. You cannot do much frankly speaking, but I mean if the watch is functioning well...I feel that it's not that much of an issue. RSC will only charge for non-original parts only when they do an overhaul, except the cosmetic parts of course.

So 1st criteria to get caught during authentication is for aftermarket external parts like diamond bezel.

2nd criteria is caught for parts,ONLY during overhaul...dun mix them up..
