How tight do you tighten it inorder not to allow water slip in and any crown position to gauge so you won't over tight it?

I know it is hand tight.

I just want to know how tight it should be before I over tighten it. Like the crown position it should be.

There is no uniform crown position. The position of the crown is not an indicator to tell you if it is well screwed.
