I'm a newbie here planning on getting my first rollie thus need some advise:
1. Wats the difference between a GMT master 2 and submariner date? Looks almost the same to me
2. Between a datejust mid size, GMT master 2 and submarina which is a better choice for a female in mid 20s?

Hi all..
This is my first time posting, have been browsing through this forum as a guest to learn more about Rolex (but still very blur).
I'm getting my first Rolex as a gift and want to recee around for some advise, so I guess its just better to ask around first than act smart at the AD..
I am contemplating between a lady oyster datejust or the boy size oyster datejust..quite like the ones with everose. Can I have some advise on these few models (saw from Rolex official website) and if anyone can advise the price as well?
116201 (black concentric??)
179171 (with golddust set with diamonds)
179171 (black dial)
179179 (mother of pearl set with diamond) - saw on the list that this one cost 31k+ in jun 08?? Is it because of the mother of pearl?
Based on the above range..is there any other recommendations?
I guess i have the choice of up to 10 - 12k price tag. Will be going to Raffles City (Cortina??) this weekend to see, is there any good AD that can give better price?
Kindly enlighten me before i get dumbfolded at the AD by all the sales talk and blings this Sat..thanks!

if it is white dial BNIB, looking @ about 17k. black dial BNIB looking @ 18k. (price is from AD) if gray dealers looking @ less 1.5k
as for preown, the price is abit wide due to different purchasing price, availability of box and papers and how desparate the seller is.
hi bro, it will be my 1st watch so i will get a new one
white dial is nice
17k..i thought will be ard 10k...keke...

Brand new? Pre-own? If the former, try THG, THH or WP. If pre-own, try dealers at Chinatown area such as People's Park Cplx and Ctr.
Gd luck!
