How to store/maintain your green Rolex Box?

Hi all,

just found out that my 1 yr old green rolex box after storing in non air-con environment (but out of direct sun) gets kind of sticky. It like sticks to the outer paper box when i try to take it out, has this slight sticky feeling when i touch it.

any bro can share how to prevent the stickiness from long term storage? store in air-con environment? is the box real leather? can we apply those mink oil used for leather?

I think it seems to happen to most of us here. Mine are also like this. Made of leather Aren't they wooden?

u can apply moisturizer on them thin. however, i usually put a pack of silica gel in the box to absorb addtional moisture.

Put mine on top of the cupboard, help to collect dust that settle

I put them in my dehumidifier along with my cameras. Ü put the dehumidifier in the office. In addition, I alittle kiasu and did put an extra pack of silica gel too in each if the boxes.

I put it inside a ziplock bag with a pack of silica gel. Works fine for me
