  • Keeping Rolex in a dry cabinet

May I ask? Can I store Rolex watches in a dry cabinet together with my photographic equipment? The humidity level is set at 45°.

what is your intention of doing so?

no. it is not ridiculous. some people want to keep it in dry cabinet so that there is minimum moisture coming in contact with the watch.

but personally, im not that particular. i just wear them as per normal. clean it when i feel like it. then maybe once in 5 years send it in for a good polish.

Yup. The main reason is to prevent moisture.

Will the saphhire crystal be too "dry" and crack / hairline ?

The Steel and Gold part should be OK @ 45 % hum as inactive metal

I think the oil inside the watch will protect the watch... unlike camera, there is no oil...
