Just to share my latest experience at RSC doing verification:
-10am watch sent in for verification
-staff will write down your name, address and tel no.
-3pm receive a call from RSC that watch is ready
-went to collect at 6pm. Take note last collection time is 645pm. Collection (for watch for verificatn) is at NOT the left hand door that says "Collections"
-staff returns the watch and say "this watch is correct"
-staff will then print a nice A4 invoice for the service. total $107.
-staff will wrap the watch in Rolex polishing cloth and put the watch in green leather Rolex pouch.
So for $107, you get a nicely printed invoice, polishing cloth and leather pouch.
I was told if you send in watch during lunch, it may not be ready same day (depending on work load). so for same day collection, try to send in between 10-11am. RSC opens 10am-7pm fyi.
Today's staff attitude not bad.
But I learn my lesson the "paiseh" way as I did not know cannot do transaction inside lol. End up the staff politely ask us to do it outside...lol
So will I go do verification at RSC again?
Probably yes, if I have the time to go morning to send in watch and end day to pick up again. But if I need to deal fast, probably Watch-concept, Top Hour (sometimes very crowded) or JW (most times crowded) will be good as well. If I plan to keep that Rolex for good, maybe for peace of mind, I may still LL got to go back RSC.

@MrBezel: I am sorry to hear that. Totally uncaring if it happens at the service centre. Even my Seiko get treated with TLC at Thong Sia, it should be an unspoken standard at a Swiss watch service ctr.

In the past when I used RSC , the scratches I get are mostly on the 4 lugs.
worse if the spring bar "Cuts" the lug ,that you cannot polish off.
these are caused by the springbar when the technician struggles with the bracelet to fit the watch in
some cases.
To prevent the above, I mentioned in another thread they should tap up the 4 lugs, that way the process will be flawless... but then again who am I to teach the folks at RSC what to do ha!My 18K Gold Day Date "President" Collection:

Remember this video that was once shared here? A youtube video in french about the Rolex factory. There is this scene showing how a bracelet is fit onto a GMT II tt. Very smart little gadget that presses the two ends of the springbar in then slide the watch head into position. They should have that in all service centres, not?

no last I saw at rsc singapore ,they are still using a sharp steel object similar to a screwdriver to manually poke , press and push the bracelet in and out of the watch.
the lugs of the watches (especially the gold ones) dont stand a chance once it comes in contact with either the steel or spring bar so the technician cannot be rushed and have to be very prudent. My 18K Gold Day Date "President" Collection:

Agree +1
Watch repair/service requires patience, steady hands.
I myself never like to remove or install metal bracelet + endlinks onto watches as i am not very deft with my hands. Removal is ok, installing i cannot make it liao.

Here's my personal experience.
When you go in to get a quote for repair or servicing for the first time, it's usually the standard rate of $700. But if you decline the rate and go there again a few months later, the price increases to $1400.I don't have enuf watches but I will stop buying now!
