Sports models tend to have better resale value. so if you intend to sell it in future, i would suggest u lean towards sports models.

i would say @ the quoted price for sub lv, it is about 1k cheaper based on current selling price.

however, condition must be good then worth, if condition is terok, then no point. best to bring it to RSC for verification.

personally i prefer sports models than DJ. this is because you can wear the sports model for casual and dress events. the DJ might be abit too loud for casual wear.

However, i find depends on age also. I think the DJ will look perfectly nice on my dad's wrist even if he wears casual

New to Rolex scene... but would like to buy for my wife a pre-owned..

I found 79173 at 2nd hand shop...

two tone (gold/silver),
26mm,
big diamonds,
computer-face,
with box & paper,
paper dated 2005
"k" serial number
condition 95%
Price: quoted $6300, no gst, 2yr warranty

Is it a good buy?? Scare kena chop chop... what's more question to ask the shop owner?? need to bring along magnifying glass for shopping rolex? what's the best price to look at or bargain?? sorry for the ku ku questions...hope you guys can help me.. :~)

If I am not wrong 178274 are all hidden clasp,likely case is he gave you wrong serial number. If that's the case....then the price is not fantastic liao...i would be max 3.5k

Sorry I think I mentioned the model no wrongly. It should be 16234, not 116234.
