Base model Panerai such as Pam 000 or 005 would look nice as well but they will above $5k a bit

Recently saw a lady wearing a IWC pilot on leather, damn cool.

For your budget you could consider a preowned 42mm pilot chrono 3717-01 (recently phased out). Price is slightly above 4k for preowned but you don't see one in the market everyday.

I think there's price diff depending on model type. I was told it was more costly for PAM233 vs a base model.

Guys JW authentication is $100 + GSt across the board for all watch types...
