      My home is safe, but when I place one Red Submarina and GMTllC in the winder, my heart beat pounce
      faster, when I am not at home. Perhap I would like to purchase the two D batteries pack, as mentioned
      by one of the brothers here, Can last up to 10 months I 'll be very happy! where to purchase this pack?

                Some commercially-available packs are only ‘single’ D-packs of two D-size batteries.
                It’s good enough if you want 450hrs of rotation. But it'll greatly depend on the weight of your watches too. Most manufacturers only test their winders benchmarked to 240gm which is about the weight of a Daytona. If you have heavier watches then battery life-span will be shorter.

                Here are the calculations again for two D-size batteries: -

                Capacity = 18,000mAH
                Divide 18,000 by 40mA = 450hrs
                If we again assume 62.5hrs = 3weeks, then 450hrs gives you 21.6weeks or about 5mths

                So, if you want to double battery-life, get two D-size battery holder from Sim Lim at $2.50 each (last year price) and do some soldering.

                Twist the red wires together and do the same for the black wires (picture below)

                Now you have a ‘single’ red and ‘single’ black wire. Solder this to the 3.5mm power jack according to the polarity and you’re done. You’ll have 10mths of winder rotation!

                  Hi Bro

                  This is a really cool set up. While I don't have watches that cost $12,000, I completely understad how you feel when you are not at home and your watches are!

                  Can you PM me the details of your set-up ... where you bought the safe, winder, costs, etc ... I am inclined to set one up myself!

                  Thanks.

                          I had the same problem to. But I decided that the daily wear and less expensive are left in the winders... the more expensive ones in the safe. Since they are worn very rarely and on occasions, every week end or fornightly i have them out in the winders for a gd day/night. I'ts almost like taking it out for a walk, so that all mechanical components will run in perfect harmony for may years to come. Oh ya...... i was pondering of drilling a hole in the safe too initially
