One thing is clear… Hublot was and continues to excel in two areas: Haute Horologie and Jewelry Design. In their latest addition to their portfolio, they have teamed-up with Doettling to create “The Morphosis”; a watch winder housed inside a vertical cylindrical safe.
The Morphosis weighs approximately 180kgs and with a hefty price tag of SGD260,000 its really meant for the uber-rich.
From what I’ve read, it stores/winds 42 watches on opposite sides of the cylinder. Once the owner enters the correct PIN, the inner tube will rotate to reveal the first panel of 21 watches. By pressing another button, the cylinder rotates 180 degrees to let the owner see the second panel of 21 watches.
It seems that the iPad has an app to control this over-the-top winder for individual TPDs and Winding Direction.

Do note that The Morphosis is not to be confused with Montblanc’s Metamorphosis!
