purpose of watch winder

Going get a one watch winder, so that i can ensure the 2-3 current in rotation autos that i wear from Monday to Friday do not stop, even over the weekend as they all have screw down crowns and i hate the feeling of unwinding the crown to adjust time or to manually wind them up..i swear the next mechanical watch i buy will be a manual wind....

what is a good watch winder of decent quality that can wind watches with your typical ETA movements safely? My budget is around $150, a one or two watch winder will be sufficient.

Each may have the same features & functions but is priced differently. Perhaps the housing is slightly different.
But the above brands are made by ABEST (Taiwan). So, its up to the individual to perhaps choose a winder with the advice by Triton or read the DIY Section on how to choose one.
I may say Eilux is good but someone else may have a bad experience with it. I may say Wolf Design is value for money but some say its M-I-C so have bad motors.
All information is given in my DIY Blog and with a little study you will be in a better position to choose one that fits your budget & requirements.
cheers!

brand? all depends on
- budget
- quality
- warranty
- ability to set TPD and direction for each pod
- single watch per pod
- double watch per pod - must have distance between watches ( i dont like 2 watches on a single pod)
- what type of holder for watch - foam/rubber vs spring loaded
- use of batteries needed?

I don't use my 2 winders (battery operated single watch winder) any more... Too lazy to keep track and changing the battery...
Now I just wind my watches every weekend... Holding and winding them are fun and allow me to admire them close up...

Interesting quotes all around. Winder is good as it is able to display your watches too
