AP can, dont like FM leh... cos during years back, got a friend bought casablanca from "SinXXXX" shop, he opened the back case to c c lok lok, and to his surprise, got a plastic mould inside to hold the movement in position just like Casio watches... very cheapo. Current models now=I dont know as personally I feel the brand is really really overpriced.

As far as I know, Patek is still world No.1 watch which follows by VC... (dont know now still the same as many many brands outta sudden all emerge as watch maker's brand.)

good quality plastic is not cheap...
and the patek probably has some plastic because it absorbs shock?

Whether you know or not... even omega speedmaster watches have plastic bits inside their speedmasters. According to omega, it doesn't wear out as fast as the metal version... and smoother . Think its nylon.

when you are looking at pateks and vacheron... its the classic search for a thinner movement.
