Lady quartz watch.. Patek or AP?

Thinking of getting a watch for my lady and unfortunately, she just prefers a quartz watch even though I've gone through great lengths to explain why a watch should be mechanical. Anyway, lets not go there! Between the Patek 24 and the AP royal oak with diamonds, which one is better? Both are around the same price I can think and I personally prefer the AP although I think most ladies would like the patek brand and cuter design of the 24. Any thoughts?

depends on dress style, Patek 24 is more ladylike so more for ladies who do a lot more dresses more girly. Not that it cannot go with jean and t shirt. AP feels more rugged perhaps due to the case design. Personally, i prefer the Royal Oak with diamond bezel. if it is in rose gold even better.
