  • Tubes on aftermarket screw-in Pre V buckle

I found some information from the web on the use of tube on aftermarket Panerai straps and buckles.

For Pam 320, I believe its using a modern release bar system which the friction between the

leather / rubber strap and the screw bar is not really a concern and unlikely to get loosen.

But I am just concern if the screw bar will loosen over time on the screw-in buckle that I am using.

How about the buckle, do we need tube for it as well?

I have not had any problems with my straps, with or without tubes.

Never heard of anyone using tubes for the buckle too!

Just spoke to the seller and indeed they confirm that the buckle do not need tube.

Tubes are recommended for the straps for old/new system..

Or you can opt for a sewed in buckle! Confirm it ain't coming out.

For the old system, I would replace the tubes with spring bars instead. Easier to replace my straps without the possibility of scratching the watch case.

For the new system, if my aftermarket strap comes with tubes, I would use them. If the straps doesn't come with tubes, I won't fret over it and use it without tubes.
