Used to be 000 but 380 is now the cheapest.

000 the cheapest luminor, 380 the cheapest radiomir.

the cheapest Panerai Luminor should be the 44mm base pam 000, also known as "The Zero".
It belongs to the Historic series, features a painted dial and manual wind Unitas movement decorated by Panerai (OP I)
no date, no second hand, nothing (water resistance 300m though)
a preown piece with full set box papers should cost about sg4,500

if you prefer Radiomir, it will be the pam 380 (personally i prefer the luminor)

        check out this price list

Yup, most people think of the crown guard when they think Panerai

I think the price gap between 000 and 380 in the grey and preowned market is higher than that of the list prices due to the higher popularity of 000.

Generally the Luminor sells better, and hold value better, over the Radiomir, probably because of the unique registered trademark crown guard design (or what Panerai calls 'the device protecting the winding crown')

It is distinctively 'Panerai' even from far

Another point to note is the Radiomir has a water resistance of 100m/10bar, as compared to the Luminor which generally have a 300m/30bar water resistant, making the latter good as a diving watch as well

One additional point, if you must, it is easier to change strap on a Luminor than a Radiomir

The pam 000 & 380 are the entry level models. Should cost u in 5k-ish in the grey dealer market. Pam 0 is definitely more the iconic pam to get as other forumers have pointed out.

U really need to try it out. And do some reading of the different models, specs and features before deciding. Each pam is different in its own way and part of the joy in buying pams is the process of researching, trying out diff models (in shops of course) etc.

Another option is PAM005 with the small seconds at 9 o'clock. It is about S$300 more expansive than 000.
Want to add the photo of 005, but unsuccessful though tried different ways, sorry.

I love the 000 & that's the one I have been eyeing for a long time. Actually I would get a J series & PVD it, but it's just my backside itchy that's all.
