  • Removing Scratches on Bezel

I have a PAM351 with polished steel bezel.

Unfortunately after only a few months of beating, there are numerous scratches on the bezel.

Can anybody advise if there is a good way to remove these scratches?

I need to learn to take care of my watches better!

Dun bother removing it. It will come back.

Perhaps you can remove them when u send in for complete servicing, where polishing is part of the scope. Btw, Richemont charges $140 for polishing although you can do it at slightly more than half the price elsewhere.

Use a small amount of autosol metal polish and polish with a cotton cloth.

Get a Cape cloth from Fix-It shop & DIY yourself, wont be that hard.

Hi..my advice is don't bother..it's normal to have scratches and polishing only removes layers of metal. I used cape cloth to polish before and regretted it since. if you really want, send it to the professionals.

Don't bother to polish light scratches because they bound to reappear if you wear the watch regularly. Send your watch for professional polishing when you service your watch. However, if you are not prepared to service your watch and cannot bear the sight of these scratches, cape cloth does help in removing the scratches as it also removes layers of the metal. Thus use the cloth carefully and sparingly.

              Appreciate all your inputs!

I think will leave it as it is for now.

autosol is really too harsh...so don't try at all.

Try not to do it your own because you will never get it right. The best is to light polish when you send it for service.

Cape cod cloth is a good option, just remember to tape up the non-polished surfaces near it for safety reason......

Cape cloth is very effective but you must be very patient and have a pair of steady hands. Also as the other forummers mentioned, it would be good to tape up other areas for safety. It might be a very light scratch but it would take quite awhile before you can polish it off totally. If at any time you get fustrated, put everything down, have a walk, a break or anything other than polishing your watch. Once you get your mood back, then continue to polish. Works like a charm!

leave the scratches... they add characters to your watch.
                          I don't need another watch.

Bro if your scracthes is deep and glaring then you should send it in for professional help
otherwise cape cod suggestion above works. Be prepared to loose some metal in the process
