Yes...should be a PAM...don't think SPF use fake watches in their ad.

For those who think police or customs officers are ignorant about the value of the PAM or luxury watches you try to smuggle in or under declare, wake up your idea...

I know more than one forumer here from SPF

no one knows for sure if it is a real panerai or not? from the angle, there is nothing to confirm nor deny it is a panerai, just that there is the crown guard.

as for whether it is a SIII or otherwise, there is no clear shot of it to confirm nor deny.

True, but it is so easy to borrow these items that are so common today (they could have use a rolex which is even more common), so I really don't think they use fake ones. It is a common practice to not fully reveal the brand of commercial items use in such ads in case it becomes a free marketing.

Well, if your baggage sway sway kena checked when you arrive home at the airport, and there is sufficient proof that you bought a/some watches (or other luxury items) overseas (e.g. they found the box/paper) and the value is above SGD400, they could tax you.

This seldom happens as I believe they take a close-one-eye approach (don't quote me ), but the law is there and it could happen.

Also applies to when you import items by courier.

I wish I know . Basically you have to try your luck. Maybe I'll try to ask the grey dealer the next time I buy from them. I know some of them import via courier so maybe they under declare a bit but still pay GST?

For hand-carry, some bros say put the watch in your baggage and the box/paper in your partner's. Are you going to lie if the customs officer found your watch and question if you bought it overseas?

Some say ship the box separately...come on...that's so troublesome for me.

Hence I say, if the saving isn't more than the potential 7% GST, and that you do already intend to buy the watch anyway, it is not worth the trouble/risk.

And it does help that you don't have a face that looks like a bad guy. For some reasons I quite often kena checked especially when travelling alone hahaha...

Do you mean pre-owned watch shops overseas offer better prices for preowned watches than local pre-owned shops? => In some countries and for certain watches, maybe, provided you know the source. But I don't think there is a single country that sells all brands/types of preowned watches cheaper than here. Pre-owned being pre-owned, the price of similar piece can vary even witin one country.

                          Furthermore, we have sg-roc
