Retails for $188, but I am a repeat customer, so Ant gave me a bit of a discount.

Customised it at 110/60mm. No holes punched so I can punch it myself.

Ant has the only colour that I can find that matches my wife's bag. Heng ah!

Waiting for my 512 to arrive from HK. All my Pams are HK citizens! Hahaha!

    • Been digging around my strap collection and found that I have not worn this strap yet, even though I have had it for about a year!

Picked this up from a fellow SG-ROC forumer for a song.

      Baseball Glove Strap

Love how the strapmaker incoporated the glove's printed words in the strap as well as the "roughness" of the stitching and raw edges. It gives the strap a bit of an edge.

Only grip I have with this strap is that it is not a true 24/24mm, more of a 23/23mm strap, so tubes do show a bit, as you can see in the 1st photo. I guess I have to paint the tubes black to give the illusion that the strap fits flush.

I must strap rummaging through my stash a bit more often! Hahaha!

      Cheers!

      • Finally my 1st Panerai - PAM351

Finally managed to join the Panerai family with my very first, the PAM351. Spent a looong time deciding among so many shortlists, even considered Rolex but eventually settled for this... no regrets! sorry for the poor pic took using my handphone shortly after I purchased.

I almost went for the GMTII TT Black dial actually cos I really like the TT color combi... but then I was thinking I probably will not have much occassion to put it on cos I find it too flashy and not too suitable for my workplace environment. Didn't want to settle for SS versions of the Sub or GMTII cos I personally find them boring... please I hope I'm not offending anyone here, just a personal preference. Anyways had always wanted Panerai and Rolex but at this point I decided to go for my Pam first which I find is a more versatile wear for my current lifestyle. Of course if I had the budget then I'd certainly had gone for my Rollie but too bad pocket not deep enough so had to make a pragmatic choice first. I'll certainly be back for a Rolex soon... after I save up again....

                            • Seems like this thread is starting to become a place to gather for all 351 owners!

Well, to continue with updates of my thread, I finally had the chance to order an exotic strap that I have been eying for the longest time... an ELEPHANT hide strap!

Something to brighten up my day as it was raining and I was stuck in bed sick!

I was a bit reluctant to get one because I do not want to encourage or promote poaching so I did a bit of research with regards to the strapmaker and found out that he has a few pieces of elephant hides that he bought from a retiring knifesmith and the hides are 30+ years old. He also ensured that the strap will also be sent with a copy of the CITES certification, for the entire hide.

And since I was getting an exotic hide, I thought, why not get a handmade buckle by the same dude too! The buckle almost cost as much as the strap... ouch! But I had a great deal.

So without further ado... my elephant hide strap!

I wanted minimal stitching as I did not want the stitching to "over-shadow" the texture and grain of the elephant hide.

                              Yes, the buckle is HUGE!

Half the size of a 44mm Pam??!!

                              Here is the strap mounted

The beautiful grain stands out and the strap is very soft and pliable.

I haven't had time to punch the hole as my hole puncher is with a friend. So sorry, no wrist shots for now!
