I have not had much luck getting any discount from the local AD, they say watches are too popular. Would be quite interested to know myself.

you want "cheap", cannot find local AD. grey market is your best bet for a better deal.

Cannot get cheap Panerai and good discount from AD la...
Got stock for hot models already very good .
Those on the shevles are left over and not so popular models.

10 times i visited AD to look for Pams 11 times no stock , 10 times walk in shop 10 times walk out no stock, the only 1 time is i stand outside, the sales man came out asking me if i'm looking for certain model, the answer is as expected... no stock.

For Panerai, I think it's difficult to get any discounts from any local ADs. Even a regular customer like me from THG, I'm not offered any good discounts. Perhaps the main reason is availability. Not sure why Panerai is so popular that it's often not available. And the available ones are not the popular models. Haha. IMO, you can consider getting from 2nd hand grey dealers, surprisingly, they may have the models you want, and for sure the prices are lower than local ADs. Though it's always a concern getting original watches from such shops, but I think the watches should be genuine.

When I bought mine in 2010 was given 15% off. Not too bad

Alternatively, you can get a Frd or relative here on vacation to get it for u, then you can get a lower price via gst rebate. But the watch will have to pick it up frm their home country.
