The 321 is $12.7K list as I know...it also has a 12hr GMT hand ( second time zone ).... useful and functional PAM.

            I think the 312 is $10.9K.

            Prices are approx bro.

Frankly speaking , for me I am still skeptical with pam in house auto . Saw a fair bit of complaints on the web regarding the realiability of their 3 dAys. There R plenty Info in google. I think panerai is the only watch i bought that I don't bother about movement nor horological issue , there is just something about pam that attracts me ! Lol... And believe it or not , a lot of paneritis prefer the mechanical movement ! Anyway this just my 2 cents . Both the 321 and 5 have their uniqueness ! I bet you'll buy the other later after purchasing the 1st one lol..... It's the pam addiction !

sorry guys. m looking at the 312 not the 321
                oops type wrongly

                thanks dfive.
                probably the 312

spiderboy. nah. i feel every man shld have one Pam only. thats me. haha. after this, thats the end of the Pam chapter for me cos they are all pretty much the same
haha iwc portugese 7d also has lotsa flak on accuracy etc. think it loses ard 15sec/day. but it aint abt that when we chase and yearn for an inhouse movement eh?
else we would all be getting quartz or digital watches.

                =)

From my research seems like 312 is most popular followed by 320 and then 321. Correct me if I'm wrong but most seem not to be too taken in by 'cluttered' face of 321.

Agree with ichiban on "1 man 1 PAM". All look the same, but all enthusiasts gotta have 1 lurking in the collection.

What i believe: there is a chance that PAM as a brand will not run it's course as smoothly as rolex AP or patek etc. Too many limited editions with very little intrinsic value or meaning. They are just various permutations of the same few variables, like position of the crown/date etc. Does anyone remember the recent scandal of the PAM "brooklyn bridge" LE (correct me if i'm wrong)? The CEO himself had to issue an apology to the paneristi. Some thought is was an unacceptable excuse/cover-up, but other suckers felt that it was so gracious of him to offer to replace those cheap-looking movements for more embellished ones. Haha, i thought the whole thing was quite funny.

Spiderboy is not the only skeptical one about the inhouse PAM movts. They are relatively new, and have yet to be tried and tested. The reliability factor for them is not rock-solid as yet. Wait and see.

Lastly, between the boys and the gentrified, what would they choose to wear? A PAM, or a Rolex/AP/Patek? Something to think about.

                      My $0.05.

i still prefer the older ETA based automatic movements for reliability and ease of servicing but then again the Bronzo only comes with the new in-house movement.

will it cost much more for servicing?
anyone has serviced a panerai before? what's the usual cost for normal eta movements vs inhouse movements?

yes. too bad they're so overpriced

For panerai, best for the clean classic look.
The perfect PAM to me would have the following:
                            - luminor model
                            - Black sandwich dial, 44-47mm
                            - at least 3 of the 12, 3, 6 ,9 markers and other baton indices
                            - no date/chronograph/GMT
                            - mandatory seconds subdial (how can a naval diver work without some degree of precision?)

IMHO in time to come, the classic models will triumph in the end, over those cluttered complicated dials/functions. Because of the panerai DNA they retain. Some of the PAM models out there just look so "deviant" .

Kind of like the luminor 372 (although no subdial). but too expensive for me. Many sellers offering but few takers. Why ah? Thought it was limited and sought after.

For me the only keepers in their range are the PAM321 and PAM359.... totally diff within the 1950 range, and price is reasonable...... I plan to get these but certainly no others.
