that almost nobody wants to use?
The fact that a PAM with unworn original strap(s) can fetch better price in the preowned market is not the reason why PAM owners choose not to use them (although to a small extent it is), but a consequence of the desire of PAM owners to show off their PAM with shoes that really match its style, which are so readily available from many 3rd party strap makers.
So why haven't Panerai realize that and replace the leather strap with a thicker and rugged one that I am sure will push up their already fantastic sales figures? Or replace the rubber strap (that is practically useless except the Submersibles since the other models aren't really meant for diving) with a second leather strap of a different colour/tone.
If Panerai are offering those nice & thick straps as separate accessories to increase sales, then I understand why they put the unpopular straps in the kit, but that is not the case.
Maybe I should send this feedback to Richemont?
