I think you need to buy Kodiak strap. It is sea water proof. It is made by the original group of craftsman like Ciampi and etc in Fiorentino who made the OEM panerai straps till 1997. If you need a sample - go to time will tell.

        Mink Oil

        Hi,

anyone use mink oil to maintain straps? Is there any lotion to waterproof straps? Heard from a website that that mink oil can potentially damage leather. ANyone use this Apple Polishes? Any comments?

        Quote From Apples Polishes website:
" Use of mink oil or other animal fats will darken leather. Animal fat can also turn rancid, causing the stitching and leather to rot. "

If u sweat a lot I suggest you go for HKTAN's custom straps, and remember to indicate that you want the non-porous strap lining that he has to offer. For the maintaining of straps itself, I'd go with J&J baby oil, just spread it over cotten and apply evenly.
