  • Which one should I go for?

    Hi,
Looking to buy my first PAM.

Should I go for a Radiomir? Currently shortlisted 183, 190..
    Or a classic one? 005 or 111....

Budget about 6K, very open to 2nd hand, gray import....

    I have a RXW MM20 47mm by the way.

Hate to burst your bubble, but a S$6k budget would not be able to land you a pre-owned 190 (which currently goes for S$13-14k+ depending on condition).

From your shortlist, looks like you're eyeing one of the Historic models. I'm personally not a big fan of the OP logo, so I'd go with either the 183 or 111.
    My madness so far :

    Bell & Ross BR03-94 Phantom
IWC 320104 Antoine de St Exupery Power Reserve - For Sale
    IWC 371701 Pilot's Chronograph
    IWC 500401 Big Pilot
PAM26K Luminor Marina Left-handed Special Edition
    PAM233K Luminor 1950 8 Days GMT
    PAM190H Radiomir 8 Days

If you intend to keep the MM20 long term, then 183 might be a good choice. Else I would recommend a luminor.

Note that strap changing for radiomir is not very easy (but not so difficult either), that is if you are a strap person.

Once you figure out if you want a radiomir or luminor, the next question is if you prefer sandwich or painted dial.

I have owned the 005/111/183 before (in that order) and sold them all. If I had to choose again among those 3 I would go for 111.

Another point I am trying to bring across, which I think many PAM owners would agree, is that you never stop at the first one. Hence maybe it isn't important to "get it right the first time" in this case
Watches are like potato chips - You never stop at one

        Oh. Sorry. Quote wrong model.

Should be PAM380, this should be within my budget..

I say go for a Luminor and get a mint 111 instead, that is if you are going to flip for an upgrade.
The rest of the monies saved from getting a BNIB, get straps!

Yep, agree that 111 is probably the nicest basic Pam.. 112 is too plain, 005 is nice but no sandwich dial, 183 is good if you like radiomir style

I also go for PAM 111, classical model, esp. Sandwich dial and sapphire case back.

Second that! I own a Pam111 and you can never go wrong with it, be it as a starter model or what. Really beautiful watch with fantastic case back movement.

                      Bro,

Go for either the 380, 183 or 111. All are equally nice and unique in their own ways. Trust me, this will not be your only PAM ...hahaha. But since you already have a MM20, maybe can go for a 380 or 183:-)

                      Cheers
                      Don't worry, be happy
