Perhaps a 190 or 232? Might have to settle for pre-owned (but mint) or top-up, depending on which model you go for.

You have a good range to choose from your budget if you buying preown. Why not consider the black Pam with pig logo and ceramic case... More outstanding. Someone selling in forum. IMO, most radiomir looks quite similar, either you go for looks (dial or case material) or movement. Which you prefer?

I think a $12,000 budget can easily get you a 292 (without pig). IIRC, the 292J (with pig) carries a premium and costs around $15,000+.

I would go for a 232. Like the simplicity of the dial and it is a SE:-) Not to mention that it is 47mm.

You can check out Paneristi.com as well. The 232 does pop up once in a while. Do remember to factor in shipping, insurance, GST etc. if you're shipping from overseas though.

will like to seek all of your advise regards to 292J (pig dial) and BNIB 292N.

How much does the pig dial worth and what's the amount that you will pay for the pig version above the brand new 292N? (2k? 3k? 5k more?). Is it worth paying the premium knowing the followings?;

292J (pig)
1) 292J is produced in 2008 (3-4years watch) only 1000 pcs
2) usually is used watch or near mint
3) only different is the pig logo, others is all the same.
4) no warranty
5) more expensive.

292N
1) brand new produce in 2011 with warranty
2) much cheaper by 4k to 5k, compare to 292J

I don't think you'd get a good answer to your question - it really depends on how much the buyer values the watch. Take the 372 for example. It's a regular production model, but yet many people see it as a collectible and are thus more than willing to pay a significant mark-up over its RRP just to be the first few to lay their hands on the piece.

As with the 292J, different buyers would have a different valuation on the premium they deem as fair. Who knows? Panerai may pull yet another stunt and produce future series of the 292 with a pig.
