Need help on PAM strap exotic leather

Hi guys,

I got this exotic leather strap for my PAM. The area around the lug is very thick. I cannot lay the watch and strap fully flat like other normal straps. The maximum the strap can go flat is like in the picture.

- Is this normal?
- Any advice how to store this watch/strap?

Thought this will only occurs in thick ammo straps?? Most probably the strapmaker did not did not thin the lug side enough or the bone of the horn back is obstructing, that why the strap cannot Go down completely.

Normal or not, hard to tell by looking at the photo.
Maybe it is the trademark of the strap maker.


As for storing, do not place it under direct sunlight as it will change the color of the strap.
Air your strap after wear in open air condition so that the moisture in the strap can be release to prevent the strap From getting mould.
Just store it in a plastic box with some silicon gel.
Apply some leather conditioner once a month or two ( depending your usage) on the back leather not on the horn back hide.
