my experience with the panerai sales people is that they are trained and will side step the 339 issue and refer you to the service center. i did ask about the issues with early P9000 movements and the answer was, "no, it never happen to our customers who bought these watches" - case closed.

Then we will use our latest gadget, "IPads" to show the issues brought up in this forum and they will have to answer it without fail, right?

same comments from another 339 too! guess 339 is off the collectors item list, being it the last Marina Militare or not.

as i told to Panerai long ago, they should have made a display caseback to show the movement plates and 8 day power reserve (which was lacking on a 8 day movement). that would have solved their caseback problem in the first place. if Panerai had listened to me! hahaha.

No, in fact, you should wear it more often to see if there are any issues. Better to fix the issue when it is under warranty.

Another reason i didnt wear is the original strap is kinda short, 115/75 if i am not wrong..Also i wish to preserve the original strap in pristine condition.
Can anyone recommend me a good and reliable strap maker please?
I prefer local cos need help to mount the strap, hence he should ideally be confident to do it for me..many i came across said challenging for radiomir and stressful since its 339. Aiya headache now..need help and advice.

go to Richemont Service Center, buy a JV Nubuck strap and get the Service Center to mount it for you at no extra charge. Isn't that ideal? They have the tools and experience.

not that i am aware of. Richemont SC should have the full catalog for you to choose, you can pre-order straps that are currently not in stock.

or you canb wait for the ION Boutique to open.

                              YES SIR!

There seems to be a lot of discussion going around but no solid feedback from OP. We all hope to see OP addressing the issue and concerns of 339 owners.

Last batch of 339? It better be..........otherwise small issues may be blown out of proportion. then again, paying $20k for a watch you have to expect nothing less than perfection.

latest info received from other website on effect of alcohol on the ceramic case. other than alcohol, perhaps they should try acidic solution also.
looks like the whitening effect is true, that's some patina effect on the case.
