  • Qn on dated and named Warranties

Hi to one and all, I would just like to source the opinions about the pros and cons to buying a Pam with dater/undated and named/unnamed warranty?

The only 'pro & con' between the two is that you can lengthen the warranty period while still wearing the watch. As for 'named/un-named', it is a personal preference, of course, most second-hand buyer(s) prefer it un-named.

if it is undated, as mentioned, it can prolong the warranty of the watch. however, as pam are serialize, say for example K001, etc, they will know when this watch is being produced. as such, there is only a limitation as to how long you can 'prolong' the warranty.

anyway, a watch warranty only covers manufacturing defect. as such, if there is an issue, it tends to appear within the first 2 years. after that, the chances of manufacturing defect is low.

as for un-named, it is usually preferred for buyers. if a watch is bought for buy-sell purpose, it is better not to get it named. however, if it is meant for keeps, then named is no issue.
