Panerai "Addiction"

Hi collectors, im here to start a dicussion on our love for panerai. B4 i started buying pam, i only knew abt them as watches with big crown lock. And it always amaze me how come a watch can cost so much as before Last year, aug 2010, the most expensive watch i owned was a tag heuer f1. Then came my fren, who is an pam fan and talked to me abt panerai watch. And the movie 'expandables'. After that i began to look for info online and asked that fren of mine more abt pam. Then came my first pam zero, a 292, 312, 111 another zero. A few times i thought i had enough of panerai, and sold all my collection, then came a gentleman wearing a nice pam on his wrist walked pass me or sitting beside me. I would go "wow, so cool and nice. Which model is tat?" then i will search more more model on line and finally got myself another panerai..
Am i addicted to pam? Anyone knows of someone of similar experience? Do share your stories bros

yes bro, its a beautiful piece, the wordings "luminor marina" on the dial is what makes me buy him. very expensive words i think =D

4x i bought pam zero and sold away.
only recently got it back again from the bro tat i sold it, because i wanted a most basic pam, and mosy impt the serial no is the day my wife and me became an item.
And bro kannister, yes. Its like pokemon. U gonna have them all, or at least a few ;-)

ME TOO !!! I actually only likes Rolex but than when I saw this Pam 283 at a watch shop in orchard ! I was stuck there for a good 20 minute ! But I didn't get it cos I have no budget back than 2 years ago .....
Last year I saw a post in this forum & there is this gentleman selling Pam 283 , I decided to give it a shot by asking for the best price & guess what ! He says ok & I got it for a real fantastic price !!! Now I am eyeing for more Pam now .....that I think is addicted !

When I started, it was only rollies for me....never really liked PAM, one for its size and two, guess rollies are more well known, esp within the asian culture....

After owning several rollies and still feel something was amiss, I went to Sincere and HG to see & try them for myself and since then, I have never looked back....

Yesterday, I went to the safe and took out of my rollie sub to wear for a while...it seemed so very tiny now....though there are still some appeal to a Rolex, I much prefer the presense of a PAM...

Its well known for rollies fans to cross over to the dark side, that is cross over to the world of PAMs....some do return back to rollies but some never do anymore...I think I may be one of the latter.

Wat if you are at both side of Rolex and PAM? Looking at PAM Sub 25 or Rolex YM as my next target to cure my "addiction".......

rolex so far the only model im keen on is the deepsea. as i prefer watches to have that 'presence' feel on my wrist. pam is surely one of the watches i had tried on till now, to have that feel..
that's y after selling them away, i always buy them back..

That's what happened to me after i bought 104 and 233 - slowly got sucked back into rollie and bought a deepsea in the end

haha Dmaul77, i for one love divers watch, and pam... so now i decided to look for a pam submersible... my next aim. hope i can find one preowned fast...
