PAM190 - real or fake?

Hi bros,

I might be closing in on a deal for a NOS PAM190 with a private seller in HKG, and would like to seek any additional advice on whether the piece is genuine (or not). Based on the seller's pics he sent me, the watch and box look legit.

And of course the golden rule "Buy the seller"!

Did you instruct him to send you a pic of the time at 9:55? Else, the pics could be real but may not belong to him?

Yup, me no expert but from the pics, it looks okay to me ... Always "buy the seller" and pass when in doubt ... pics of the real thing are not difficult to obtain ...

Do some reference checks on the seller...he might send pictures of the real watch...but might not send the real watch....

That is why i seldom buy online or from overseas....

Lots of pitfalls....and hassle.....too risky for me

Yup, agree with bro feilong that it's generally more risky and troublesome to purchase on-line ... probably why personally, I'd not been buying and/or selling overseas so much since SG-ROC & another local watchsite had been set up ...

In any case, Pam 190 is an excellent choice! Good luck with your watch purchase!

I've asked a friend in HKG to meet with the seller to inspect the watch. If everything's ok, I'll then wire the payment across.

Maybe you can ask the seller to display or take photos of the PAM movement on specific date that you state(since 8day power reserve PAM is not cheap so he should be willing to do it if you want to buy from him) and then you know whether it is a real or fake PAM that his is selling to you(but some grade A clone has very good caseback imitation). But then again, he still can pack a clone and ship it to you. Cheers.

Asked a friend in HKG to meet the seller yesterday, and watch checked out fine. Now just gotta agree on payment method, and hopefully can join the 190 club soon!
