May I refer you first, to Mr striker968's thread on the "25 Commandments" of watch collecting.

Any PAM that you really like is a 'good starter' because different people will have different opinion on which is a "better first". This may, instead of helping you, cause you more 'harm'. So firstly, go through the range of models and slowly, reduce your choices to a handful. Thereafter, since you are more focus, list them out for discussion. This, I believe, is more helpful.

IMO, the least expensive PAM model is the best starter

I say not the price that is in consideration but the stock availability when you are there at the EU AD...imo yesh it is cheaper to get frm EU due to the vat rebate,currency exchange,disc (if you are a POWER negotiator LOL)

for me starter PAM => PAM 000, 005, 112, 111 for Luminor, Pam 183, 210 for the rads

I prefer a base pam with in house movement. 000 looks great to me but not sure if they are in house movement.
