Er Pam models are numerous. Favorite is really individual.
Have to ask yourself like:
1. Auto or manual?
2. Need date?
3. Which case?
4. Budget?
Good models to start with are the historic models, which is without date, manual wind. 0, 5, 111, 112, 176, 177, 219, 183, 210
At the end is what you like..Audemars Piguet Ball Bell&Ross Cartier IWC Longines Omega Panerai Rolex Sinn Tissot
Alba Casio Citizen Roox Seiko
Wanted to add PP but bo lui

I would always recommend a historic base as a starter PAM. So go with the 000 logo, very versatile and an affordable entry level PAM. If you got extra budget to splurge and want something with more complications/functions, then my suggestion is a 233What's in the box:- Patek Philippe 5726A
- IWC Portu Chrono 3714-14
- Panerai 187 Subzilla
- Garmin Fenix 3

Personally I think Radiomirs are really nice. Great if you can find the Radiomir base models for starters.
If you are a big fan of crown guards for PAMS and your budget is about 8 to 10k, suggest you go for the 3-day power-reserve versions such as 305 or 312.
My 2 cents worth.
