    Even the receptionist has been trained to filter out the fakes.

    Funny, I wear a 3rd party strap which is very obvious and yet in the quotation they even made a note that it is not an authenticate strap

    Yes, it costs quite a bit to have the watch serviced at R but in return you get some peace of mind i.e. all work done is itemized.

    Besides, they can even tell me that I have polished my watch elsewhere which is not up to their specs

      Man, u r lucky they tok to u about e previous polishing job.
      In Spore, they wont.

      • True but it's a polishing job not as if they found a non OEM part in the watch.

        Is there a difference whether the watch was polished elsewhere or DIY as compared to the job done by R?

        Other than the cost, I had to leave the watch there between 4-6 weeks!

        If they can guarantee that their polish job will make the watch casing more scratch resistant and the shine last longer, then I'll definitely come back more often

        • One other thing guys. Forget about a verbal quotation. I received an itemized repair order with the OP letterhead.

          IMHO, the official repair order is all the validation you need and it' s just a notch below the certificate of authentication!
