Panerai Warranty Card (Undated)

Dear bros,

I was just wondering if I have a 000i which was bought way back in 2007 from an overseas AD with an undated warranty card, can I write a recent 2010 date on the card and sent it in for servicing?

Would Richemont have any record in their system of my 000i's serial number, which would state that I bought it off the shelf in 2007 and thus warranty had expired?

As 000 do not have a second hand, and there is no minute markers its a little hard to see.

I doubt there is any AD that have i series 000 unsold until 2010. so even if you fill in a recent date, it will not look authentic.

Thanks for the reply bro, anyway I'm just stating a scenario using an old 000i.

The point is whether a newly dated warranty card is accepted at Richemont if I sent a 4-year old PAM in for servicing that just got its virgin-breakdown. Of course the PAM is authentic, just that the purchase date was not filled in during the time of purchase.

Does it has an AD stamp? If yes, richmont can always check with the AD's sales record and see if they sold an 000i in 2010. Not so easy to fool them.

If no stamp or date, then they won't need to honor at all as not complete.

warranty only covers manufacturing defects which should usually surface within the first year.

recently i sent in one watch to richemont. only got stamp but no date or anything. i got question by richemont staff. but i told them i bought it from another buyer. so they will go check. they took in my watch.

If send in watch without dated warranty card, Richmont will check their system for the first production year of that series and back dated the watch. For I series year 2006 too far to fool them, if is J series year 2007 productions, like some bros mentioned you can fill up slightly later date on 2008 and then send in asap to cover warranty within 2 years.

Real life true story...a good mate of mine bought an H series 219 in 2010 from a shop in Malaysia! an H series NOS...I dont know how he sorted it out with Richemont eventually...but he managed to get the standard 2 years warranty from 2010 through 2012 for an H series!

If the shop is a Panerai authorised shop and can issue a receipt dated 2010 for the sale, then no problem. However, it is still strange that when the price and demand of 219 was high in 2007/8, the shop actually did not sell off its stock?

I also have a H series 219 but don't even remember the date of purchase.

Its a shop in Kelantan (not exactly a place one expects to see let alone buy a PAM!) which somehow has a 219 in stock. Not sure if its an official AD though- the piece is legit though (friend took it to richemont for verifications). I actually called in case they have pieces like 127/217/232/249 still on retail but no luck! (i know its a longshot but who knows rite?) heheheh
