If their purpose of having the 360 is to unite the risti community, it has instead spilt it. I did not bother to put my name on it. If it's for the community, then make enough for the community! If people think not exclusive enough, then skip it. Panerai is a tool watch aim at lovers of the brand, not just those in the close family.

In any case, I have sold all my pams only keeping a 219 for wearing and playing with straps. A nice brand of watches but too much hype and these limited thingy splitting the brand. The Ah Fu wad the final straw for me. And there are quite a few like me among friends.

Someday, I will still get a couple more. It would only be 190 and preA. Nothing of the post in house stuff.

my thoughts are quite simple... i think people are placing too much significance of the involvement of the forum. panerai chose the buyers directly on their own. i doubt the owner/moderators had much input. if panerai chose to 'reward' some of the prominent members, its their own friggin' choice to determine distribution.

to get angry doesn't make sense. at the end of the day, its just a watch.

also i'm puzzled with people who choose to isolate the brand due to its growing popularity or what the brand chooses to release - i mean, i buy it cos i like that particular watch... if i don't like the newer models, i don't buy them... doesn't mean i have to let go of prior pieces i bought cos i love!

i guess my decision on a watch is not as holistic as other people, i evaluate the watch exclusively.

But people on p.com betrayed years of friendship and their integrity over greed for some hick money. From the day the 360 was announced to celebrate the community, I knew it would split is right in the middle. If panerai's real intention is to disrupt this community, then it made the right move.

Craig may be the first to succumb to greed after all the faith the community put in him but surely not the last.

He compromised himself more by justifying he is not flipping it but just traded it for his dream 202 which he could not afford. Pathetic.

IMHO, if anyone allotted a 360 doesn't want it(which is rare), he should ask the mod a to select another person and sell it to that person at retail price.
