  • Panerai prices (going up), never ever underprice ur pam..

Hi, just to share some insights of panerai watches...

it is of no doubt very difficult to source for / obtain what you really looking at (model, series, etc.). Most of the time, panerai enthusiastics just have to wait and wait on the availability of the pre-owned market....of course, buying at local market is safest where you can be authenticate the watches at local AD... compared to risks buying from internet (especially when the price looks too attractive...)(you know what i mean)...

Looking at development of the prices over the passed 10 years, as well as fact of Panerai produces rarely 2000~3000pieces of their watches ANUALLY (Limited Edition not counting)...it is believed to be one of the HIGHLY INVESTABLE & COLLECTIBLE FINE WATCHES...

Abstracted here some information from the which i found on the internet, just to share with you some ideas NEVER EVER UNDERPRICE your Panerai valuable watches if you are considering selling off over pre-owned market.

For enthusiastics who are about the start buying a panerai...it may be good for your references / guidelines as well....

Thanks for the update, but it seems that there are many ppl selling at lower prices, thus whenever we are selling, we have to price our watches ard their prices else it would never get sold though. So I guess, everyone should cooperate and sell at higher prices to maintain the pricing ???

Demand vs supply ba...there are hundred over pam on sales in this forum itself. Maybe we should instead ask ppl not to swap/change their pam so often

I think this is an individual choice, ie to sell at whatever price seller deems fit. It should never be a 'guideline' or "SOP" of sort to sell, and even buy watches.

Its a demand and supply thing with regard to the pricing. For some models, assuming I list for 6k. If no takers after a prolong period, I have to lower. Its not a choice I want to make but its just that it wasnt that valuable in the mkt it seems as I hoped for it to be.

Moreover, the 2000 pieces might not really be a 1 year amount right? I have seen 2 different series for particular models being available in the same year. this could mean the actual amount available could be more than what a series depicts. Basically, I don think Panerai restricts 1 year only having 1 series for each model and once that full quota is met, they stop production.

In terms of "HIGHLY INVESTABLE & COLLECTIBLE FINE WATCHES", pretty subjective in the investable and collectible portion. No doubt on the fine watches tho , I would believe from what I have seen, same as any model rolexes, most modern PAMS would be pretty hard to really make money out of them once worn

It's totally demand and supply plus desirability. I remember in 2007, the prices of panerai on the used market was going up every week. People were asking higher price and pieces still fly off. Now, different story. It's just like property.

Sometimes up and sometimes down. No single individual has the might to control the market.

Yup. Like any free market, no one can control.

Even vintage, auction pieces have ups and downs.
