It's not so much about deterrence but how would you feel if you own a very special piece whose serial and details unfortunately has been copied the world over on reps like the famous E0117 Fiddy? I know I wouldn't want that- so why take the chances . I guess I'm just being paranoid.

Ya. E0117 Fiddy is well known. And the machine from China that makes the fiddy fakes cannot auto match the OP12345678 serial with the E0001 serial. Fortunately for them, they got hold of a E0117 with the OP12345678 from picture and clone 1000 exact pieces.

I have seen number 1, 3 and 8 for the 217 before. All circulating in Signapore. People still buy if they like the watch and the price and condition.

If you want to find a 127 or 217 that has never changed hands, I say more difficult than tio 4D. If you want to find a BNIB set that has never changed hands like tio 4D all three top price. Those who never change hands are those well used cos owners bought them then at retail and like them and wear and keep. Those who bought but intend to flip would have done it along the way when prices move from retail to US20K. How many buy to flip so never wear keep until now still no chance to flip?

Most of these pieces I believe has changed hands no less than 5 times each.
