  • 1st Panerai for advice

Hi, I am keen for my 1st Panerai. And advice for the following?

    1) 111
    2) 292
    3) 312

I prefer an iconic model with sandwich dial, inhouse movement etc. Meanwhile can anyone tell the retailed price and which AD or second hand shop offers best price for Panerai watches?

Btw, which series is good? Any meaning to each different series? The latest and current is M?

If you want in house movement on watches you listed, only 312 has it. If not wrong, 111 & 292 share the same 3rd party movement. All 3 are with sandwich dials. 292 is Rad vs Luminor Marina for 111 and 312, so 1st decision you need to make is which design you like. 111 is base model with manual winding while 312 is auto, thicker and heavier. 111 & 312 are into M while 292 is still L. As for older series, 292J comes with PIG so it's more expensive, and 111 has painted dials on earlier serials.

      Good luck with your search

        Just to add...

292 has M appearing already....M has 1500 pieces, L and K has 1000 pieces. J has the pig on dial (so more rare and cost more).

First Pam and with in-house movement? Go for either 312 or 320. Of join the 233 gang for that 1950 dome look.

Thanks to all for your advice. Any idea the current discounts? I do like 312 but the 111 seems iconic. Lastly the serial number doesn't mean anything except production control, right?

Depends on where U r getting ur watch, most impt must have stock or waiting time not too long. Have U found a shop selling the 312???? If so cheong there and bargain to a price which U find is reasonable. Of if U wan find khaki go shop with you, you can PM me ur phone number, I go with U kpo hehehe.

Ok! By the way, can anyone advise the piece that is similar to 312 but in titanium. I do like the brown sandwich dial. It's very unique as most dials are either black, white or blue.

Yes, it's 351! It's exactly the same as 312 but with brown dial. Yes, I do find the brown dial very nice. The brown and green illum seem a nice match. Moreover, brown is more unique unlike the common black, white or blue dials. Any idea how much it costs?
